Playing a live news feed on TrilbyTV

Using TrilbyTV you can broadcast live news streams to keep your staff and students informed of current events. This guide explains how to integrate live news sources into your signage rotation for real-time updates.

IMPORTANT

  • We would not recommend displaying live news feeds on TrilbyTV as there is no guarantee that stories will be appropriate for young audiences.

  • Please make sure you are OK to show content in your setting; local laws may require you to have a licence to do so.

  • Playback of commercial (paid for) content or content that is owned by a third party, whether or not it is publicly accessible (e.g. via YouTube) without consent is a breach of the TrilbyTV Acceptance Content Policy.

Adding a live news feed

Both the BBC and Sky require a fee via the BBC Licence fee or Sky Subscription; the following networks do not, and so can be used on TrilbyTV as Web Content items. Inclusion in the list below does not guarantee that they will work on TrilbyTV; it is up to the network to set its own licensing conditions.

To add them to TrilbyTV, copy the full web address below and add it to TrilbyTV as Web Content.

As these are live streams, once they start to play, they will continue until you make a change to the play via a schedule or you set a Custom duration.

You may also find more Live News feeds directly on YouTube. See this list for more.

TIP

TrilbyTV offers a fantastic alternative partner content, Picture News to share age appropriate world news to students.

Picture News is an educational current affairs resource for schools. Our aim is simple: to help schools bring the world into the classroom, confidently and constructively.
